At Alberta Ballet, every donation helps us inspire, educate, and uplift through the power of dance. But if there’s a particular area of our work that’s close to your heart, you can direct your gift to support it. Whether you're passionate about nurturing future artists, expanding community access, or celebrating excellence on stage, your contribution can make a targeted impact.

While Alberta Ballet must retain legal control of all gifts (as per CRA requirements), we deeply value your intentions and will honour your wishes to support the programs you care about.

What can you support:

Growing Up Strong

Growing Up Strong is Alberta Ballet’s province-wide campaign to raise $20 million so 50,000 children every year can access the health, confidence, and belonging that come from dance. Gifts flow into a dedicated program fund that covers the full cost of delivery, so we can reach kids well and safely across Alberta. Depending on donor requirements, support is used to expand access now and to keep the program dependable year after year. The campaign is research-backed and accountability-driven, with clear annual reporting on kids reached, communities served, and outcomes achieved.

Student Scholarships

Help shape the next generation of dancers by directing your gift to Alberta Ballet School’s Scholarship Fund. Your support can provide tuition relief, boarding assistance, or academic support for talented young artists who might not otherwise be able to pursue their dreams.

Donor Designated Funds (DDF)

If you set up a Donor Designated Fund, you can direct your gift to specific areas like scholarships or community engagement. We’re happy to work with you to set up a DDF, ensuring your gift reflects your values and priorities.

Artistic Excellence

Artistic Excellence lets donors power what audiences see and hear on stage: live music, beautifully crafted costumes, new creations, provincial touring, and a community ticket program that opens our doors to audiences that may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the power of live ballet. Gifts support the full cost of making exceptional performances—artists and musicians, design and rehearsal, stagecraft and travel—so Alberta Ballet can be musically vibrant, visually compelling, and shared with more communities across the province.

When you contribute to Alberta Ballet’s endowment, your gift becomes part of a permanent fund (held and managed by the Alberta Ballet Foundation) that supports the company’s mission year after year. While annual donations are essential, endowment gifts create lasting stability and ensure that future generations can experience the transformative power of ballet
